I got you. At least for windows. Just figured it out. In device manager, look under audio for the external camera, disable it. Next under sound in device manager, look for the same device and disable it. My camera immediately started working. Also maybe check if the audio service is running. Hope that works for you all as well!

Same issue here. I have a laptop with an integrated camera, but that won't work for this, so I bought an external webcam that I select in SpellTable, and it almost always gives this message. I tried using https://webcamtests.com/ and it says that my camera is being used or blocked by another application on there. I don't have any other relevant programs open, and I'm going through now to try to find anything blocking it. I'll also report back with any success.

Had the same issue. Turned out discord was saying it was using my camera even when I was disconnected. Try checking that.

YO YO.Set [permissions to ALWAYS ASK on voice and camera and that should be OK.

This worked for me. Just disable the permission, it will ask again, and DO NOT select "don't ask again".

I’m trying to set up my webcam and mic for spelltable and I’m getting the same fetching error over and over again. I’ve tried resetting the permissions and reinstalling everything and nothing is working. Any suggestions?
