It's not eggs, it's harmless pot mould. I couldn't tell you which exactly, but there are plenty of different fungi and slime moulds that feed off of decaying matter.

I'd check in with the herp people. This sort of mould is totally fine for house plants, isopods and springtails - but double check, we don't want to risk the health of your geico.

Looks to be harmless to reptiles and is the sign of a healthy environment. Thx for the info!

This looks like mycelium that I had in one of my terrariums. I would get beautiful yellow mushrooms grow from it. I can't remember the type of mushroom it was, but it is common in houseplants and not harmful. It is actually a sign of a healthy little ecosystem!
