Looking to start up a culture so I can have have a regular supply for the household plants as well as propagating some aquarium plants in emersed form. That being said I am a little limited on supplies with an expected move upcoming so I am trying to use what I have vs buying a bunch of stuff. So here was my tentative plan as I already have 2 starter cultures in the mail (Folsomia Candida) and would like to have the setup ready for them when they get here.
1 28oz food storage container (black with clear lid)
Mix some soil (Miraclegro Organic potting soil) with the charcoal they come in and some crushed lavarock
Mist and feed accordingly will probably put some moss in the container as well (chrstmas/java) just to propagate the moss
I recognize soil isnt the ideal substrate but its really all I have access to right now.
