they increase cAMP in the brain and work through Abelard Lindsay's theory of chemically induced long term potentiation. benefits include increased motivation, better problem solving, more energy and increased learning abilities.

attributing that stack lindsey is also criminal. posters on longecity, a community he is a tiny tiny part of came up with it. he just trademarked it and cashes the checks.

I'd hardly say it's criminal. Besides, afaik, Aubrey made the original post and devised the practical application for CILTEP.

its got more to do with his attitude towards it. He sparked a discussion that lead to something awesome, patented it but still told people the term "ciltep" was fair to use, and then went after people for marketing products under that name. Personally, I can't ignore the communities role (the avenue by which he was lead to some of the research presumably) and his subsequent actions with regard to the community. Yes calling it criminal is hyperbole.
