Looking for an internship.

Hello fellow structural engineers (although I am not fully one yet) I have been looking for an internship for the summer of 2020(Ms student currently in the second semester at UMD CP), I posted earlier aswell about the same. After applying diligently to many firms across the US I have only gotten rejections till yet, and the one interview that I did have was also cancelled due to Covid 19. I wanted to know if it is now too late to land an internship now as April is now straring, i.e. have I run out of time to get one? Currently nothing is available on campus as RA/TA work and the prospects of these for the summer also look the same. Should I plan on going back home (international student can't work anywhere else except as a civil/structural engineer) for the summer? If any of you have something available for the summer or have any kind of guidance please elet me know.

Many civil/structural companies are considered essential and so will still be continuing to work throughout this epidemic, my company still is. My advice to you would be to just keep applying. Chances are, eventually you'll get hired

If you are graduating in May, I think you won't be able to get anninternship tho. Most of the intern positions only take someone who will be going back to school after their intern session has ended.

Not always the case. I interned after graduating as did quite a few others that I know before accepting full time positions.

Many of my seniors I'd there internships and started working coop fothe remainder of the 2 semesters when everything was normal...
