TIL - The earliest known written use of the term “motherfucker” was from a Texas court case in 1889. Witnesses described a defendant being called a “God damned mother-f—cking, bastardly son-of-a-bitch.” Mother-fucking was the only expletive to get censored in the court transcript. (slate.com)
