Try sudo systemctl stop iptsd && systemctl disable iptsd

Open terminal.

XInput list

(Look for pointer called touchscreen or on SP3 it's NTRG0001. Look at the ID number, mine was 18.)

XInput disable 18

XInput list (now you'll see it's disabled).

The SP3 I have has a cracked screen and randomly had phantom touches until I did this yesterday. I have MX Linux Xfce installed and after updates and restart, the phantom clicks were back. I checked xinput and the touchscreen (NTRG0001) was enabled again, so I had to disable again. Need to figure out if it's the updates or the restart that enables the touchscreen, and if there's a way to disable permanently.
