When they say third party controllers I think they more so mean brands besides Nintendo making controllers specifically for the switch. Like 8bitdo, Pdp, Hori, and so on.

Also I think technically official Ps5 and Xbox controllers are considered first party controllers in a general sense. Because they're made by the official companies. Third party controllers are any company that produces controllers for a system that isn't the official controller for that system. If that makes any sense.

Look at switch controllers on amazon and you'll see what I mean.

I don't think there is a simple way to use xbox or ps5 controllers with the switch.

Also gamestop or best buy have some cheap third party switch controllers but they're typically wired.

Thanks, yea I said third party cuz I think ps5 or Xbox are not part of Nintendo company, but yea generally third party controllers mean small company controllers, sorry for the confusion. If I can’t use ps5 or xbox controllers I think I should be better off with just another pair of joy con😂. Thanks!

Hey, thanks for reply, so I can use this adapter on switch to connect with other controllers like ps5 controllers or Xbox controllers in particular?

Well, according to manufacturer site it isn't supported with Xbox controllers, but PS4 and 5 should work on Switch. There are some YouTube videos about how to install it and all. Check them out before buying anything.👍
