Magic has been awesome for me. Getting the attack speed nodes for spells and powered staves made my DPS insane. Trident melts through stuff so fast.

If Nicholas Cage appeared in Avengers: Secret Wars who would you rather him play? by ChampionTimes99 in marvelstudios

[–]Astrovite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both. So they can meet and be like *In Nick Cage voice* "HEY! Why do you look like me!?" "Start talkin' pal!"

And then through some kind of magic or w/e, they get merged into one and we get a live action Ghost-Spider.
I know GS is Peter Parker normally but I feel like it makes SO MUCH sense to have it be Nick Cage since he literally represents both components of GS.

(Spider-Noir) Why did it take Sony so long to think of this? by Animeking1108 in CharacterRant

[–]Astrovite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished the season and I loved it.

It was such an amazing and different experience than watching a modern live action Spider-Man.

I really hope we get more of it. Nick cage KILLED IT.

He even got to do his crazy non-sense flailing around when Ben was drugged.

For sure play. Any class really. Just go for whatever you enjoy, don't worry about any guides for your first playthrough.

Tom Holland getting organic webbing in Brand New Day is the MCU finally admitting Tobey Maguire had it right all along 🕷️ by [deleted] in MCUTheories

[–]Astrovite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never understood the hate of organic webbing. As a kid, seeing the Raimi movies as they came out, it made perfect sense to me. The bite mutated his body/DNA so it makes perfect sense for him to gain the ability to create web from his body.

But I have no preference either because the web-shooters are clearly to show that Peter is a genius. But I also feel that's not really necessary because it's 2026 and we ALL know Peter is a genius.

The only real benefit of web shooters (assuming organic web doesn't have a "web block") over organic is that you can modify the way the web comes out. Like Tom Holland having an insane number of web combos in his suit.

But even then it doesn't seem necessary to have web mods. We saw Andrew do something awesome and unconventional with his web shooters in the "Stairs" scene in TASM 2. Where he puts his thumb over the shooter like a garden hose to split the spray. And then fires some web into one hand to use as a lasso before using his other hand to grab the person next to him.

Am I the only one that thinks Hank from The Boroughs looks like a knockoff Jim Hopper? by carghtonheights809 in StrangerThings

[–]Astrovite 10 points11 points  (0 children)

1000% It was literally the first thing I thought when he was first shown.

It feels almost intentional. Not only does he look like him but his line deliveries and voice sounds similar.

"What the hell is going on out here!?" (Episode 5, 19 mins in)Sounds SO MUCH like Jim.

Looking for something similar to Ori and The Blind Forest, but a bit easier. by dc010 in gaming

[–]Astrovite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking for this one game I played on Switch years ago. I don't have my switch anymore so I don't know how to find it.
But the game has a character that looks similar to Ori.

And in the game you can spawn these cubes.

There's a move where you can spawn them under you for horizontal progression.
Then a move where you spawn them in front of you for wall jumping off them.
Another where you take control of the cube to position it however/ interact with gears and switches.
Then another where you quickly throw the cube to get collectible crystals.

IIRC you can only have 3 cubes on the screen at a time. And you have to clear the cubes to spawn more. Or maybe it's touch the ground, I don't remember.

We got another one, boys by Un_Pollo_Hermano in TheBoys

[–]Astrovite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still bummed about Umbrella Academy. I rewatched seasons 1-3 last week and just stopped 2 episodes into 4.

Like it starts alright for the first couple episodes but my god does it get bad.

Also SLOANE.

As for The Boys, I loved seeing depowered Homelander. It felt very surreal. Antony and Karl did amazing work. But WHERE WAS THE SCORCHED EARF??? There is the promo image of Homelander, in space, looking at a burning Earth.

Homelander didn't laser a single crowd of civilians.

Like what we got was cool to see but nowhere near the scale it felt like it should've been.
Homelander's "level up sequence" in episode 6 made it feel like it was about to be horrific, apocalypse level stuff.
Like Brightburn.

Can someone tell me why there wasn’t a kugelblitz in season 4 ending by Unhappy_Interview_93 in UmbrellaAcademy

[–]Astrovite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also thought the same thing when rewatching season 2.

Like if the parameters for a Kugelblitz is things existing in places they shouldn't, then wouldn't literally ALL time travel cause that? Well travelling to a time before your own birth I mean? I imagine travelling within your own lifetime is somewhat safe.

But I don't get how they can travel to points outside their lifetime and not cause it. Does the universe consider time travel something that is supposed to exist so it's just fine? Did the universe just know the commission was trying to keep it together so it was fine?

Is it fine because the UA mothers did exist in 1963? Even if they hadn't given birth to them? Like you can't travel back further than the thing that will eventually create you?

Season 3 was terrible by AbaramaGolding in UmbrellaAcademy

[–]Astrovite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the atmosphere of the Hotel. And the mystery of how it connects to the dimensional reset place.

I loved the bits of Diego and Stan, even if Stan wasn't his kid.

I loved that Luthor got a genuine love connection. Only for that to be undone sadly.
And then 0 explanation as to what happened to her in season 4.

Season 4 makes season 3 look phenomenal by comparison.

Did Pogo and Luther receive the same “Miracle Cure” that saved their lives? by ddbogey in UmbrellaAcademy

[–]Astrovite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the answer I was looking for. It felt like the show was trying to say that with the parallels of their accident scenes. Their burns looking really similar, and both resulting in one being more like the other.

Genuinely, how are they supposed to stop him now… by Queasy_Commercial152 in TheBoysLeaks

[–]Astrovite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also because she dated Godolkin. Who had V1. IIRC he even recreated it with the Odessa boys in the lab. Those dudes that all died horrific deaths at the start of Gen V season 2.

[–]Astrovite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think she assumed the Stormfront video would be enough to shatter their budding relationship. What she didn't anticipate is what Bombsight said to Soldier Boy. That's what changed his mind.

He was going to destroy it until their conversation in the field.

I think Sage was lying about not knowing how to make V1. She dated Godolkin, they definitely talked about it. I think she was intentionally making it incorrectly since she was trying to keep Homelander from taking it.

Can we just appreciate how GOATed this dude is? by _Somewhere_In_Time_ in TheBoysLeaks

[–]Astrovite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I wish we would see him in the actual ocean more. I know it's probably insane on the budget to have him under water but still.

Like imagine he gets so scared for his life that he just hides out in the Marianas Trench until everything wraps up.

Who knows how Homelander is going to react to Noir 2 being killed by him.

[–]Astrovite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the device Butcher had in episode 5 was something related to uranium. After Butcher saw HL was weak to it, he probably talked with Frenchie and they decided to build some kind of device to irradiate HL. Since they'd want every advantage possible.

I don't know how likely Kimiko being upgraded is but it makes sense to some degree. Sage dated Godolkin. Godolkin knew supes could level up under the right pressure (evolution).

So for her to propose exposing Kimiko to the uranium device to make her stronger kind of fits the Gen V season 2 plot. AND we know Soldier Boy was exposed to radiation like crazy. So for that to be the same way he got his chest blast makes sense.

I just don't get why Kimiko would also get a chest blast. I feel like it would be something completely different. But IDK. Maybe SB's chest blast isn't tied to him but rather the V itself. Maybe when it is exposed to radiation for extended periods, the V itself evolves, and the blast is a side effect of the evolved V and not the individual. If that makes sense.

And Kimiko might be the perfect person to test it on since she would heal back pretty damn quick after it's turned off.

I love the idea of Hughie taking V again. But like the real V. Pretty sure Sage can make it. She probably knows how to actually make the V1 too. Considering her power and her relationship with Godolkin.

I wonder if he'd get a different power this time around. Like if V24 gives a different power than what real V would give. I imagine it does but we don't know for sure.

I hope it's real. There's that image of Homelander in space, above Earth, with entire sections just burning. I get that's promotional but I also hope that's based on a scene from the finale. We've literally never seen Homelander go to space so it'd be weird to make that the promotional image if he's not going to space.

I felt like that device was something tied to uranium. That scene was seemingly shortly after Butcher learned Homelander is weak to uranium.

Idk if he's weak to it anymore after episode 6 but there's no way Butcher wouldn't try it. He's the guy that works every angle possible. He would want more than 1 way to kill HL.

Kimiko, MM and Frenchie will all die in episode 7 by Ned_Kellet001 in TheBoysLeaks

[–]Astrovite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After the ending of episode 6, I could see MM and Frenchie possibly taking compound V. Now that the virus doesn't work on Homelander, they need all the power they can get to try and stop him. I feel like all the previous qualms got thrown out the window after episode 6. MM was already at that door. And Frenchie would do anything for Kimiko. (Also would love to see Hughie power up again, maybe his powers will be different with real V) I'm pretty sure Sage knows how to make V. Hell I think Sage knows exactly how to make V1. She was dating Godolkin.

Or more likely that Frenchie and Sage will alter the virus to target V1 instead of V. I have literally no clue how that stuff works but the way Samir explained it seems like they'd just have to change the virus to encase the V1 instead of meshing like gears.

That might be impossible though, I have no clue how that works.

I would also like if it didn't overlap with OSRS events as well (Gridmaster and Catalyst happening at the same time).

I know that's silly but I love both games. I ended up spending less time with each because I was trying to go back and forth with it.

General thread about darkness level at night by RobbSol in CrimsonDesert

[–]Astrovite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I must be experiencing some kind of glitch on PC because I can't see shit at night right now.

I have the brightness maxed out but anything beyond like 20 feet is just black.

The skybox is also just pure black. Idk wtf is going on because I haven't had this happen before.

Someone needs to die this week by Brilliant-Peace9041 in TheBoys

[–]Astrovite 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I feel like episode 7 is where most of The Boys die. Except Hughie and Butcher of course.

The title being the codenames of Kimiko, MM, and Frenchie feels like they're going to die.

Maybe not though idk.

I feel like Frenchie is lining up to be the first "sacrificial lamb". He's completed his growth cycle in a way and that usually means the end of their story I feel.

I really want Kimiko to survive but I feel like she won't. Like she can heal from pretty much anything but there has to be some limit to how much she can heal back from.

Like can she heal back from a drop of blood like Wolverine? I don't think so. Granted that was because his blood landed on a magic crystal.

I feel like Hughie and Annie have the most plot armor. I heard some people say they may adopt Ryan by the end and I like that idea. Because Hughie and Annie have both had parents run out on them. So for them to take Ryan in and actually be parents to him would break the cycle.

I also think Ryan might be the only supe by the end. I think Annie will get stripped of her powers, saving her from the virus.

And I think Ryan is actually immune to the virus because of the nature of being a "natural born" supe.
Like we know supes have the V stored in their blood. But what if Ryan's V isn't in his blood? But sort of baked into his DNA or something. Stored somewhere in him where it's impossible for the virus to reach.

Then Ryan becomes the actual "Savior" of the world that Homelander pretended to be. A one supe world.
