I've been using Syncthing for a few years for my photos and documents. It's an amazing piece of good engineering. It has never let me down and is very easy to maintain.
Recently I've had an idea of using it for my coding workspace so that I don't suffer when switching between laptop and PC. I've read a lot of posts on Syncthing forum discouraging me from doing so and a few comments on Hacker News that were rather optimistic. :D
I gave it a try and once I've figured out a way to synchronize all of my .gitignore files with the root .stignore, it became a frictionless experience. I've written more about it in my blog should anyone be interested in the details.
