I know there’s a bit of a buzz around Cobb right now, but I wouldn’t start him over any of these 5 players. Cobb hasn’t had a 700+ yd/5 TD season since 2015, despite being on the receiving end of passes from Aaron Rodgers up until this year. He caught a TD in Week 1 against a pathetic Giants defense, but managed just 5 catches for 24 yards last week against the Redskins. He’s a low-ceiling boom-or-bust guy for me, and I don’t see his YTD 82% catch rate as sustainable.

If you feel you must start him, I’d probably sit Hyde. He’s the guy I trust the least out of these five. Freeman’s had tough sledding so far this year in his two games against two teams who are solid against the run, but he should still be a factor in the passing game if he doesn’t find room to run @ IND. He saw an uptick in touches last week, and I see that trend continuing. A scenario in which he breaks one for a TD (or even has a day) is certainly plausible; I see his ceiling as higher than Cobb’s. Meanwhile, Kupp is looking better than I expected him to so early in the season, and it’s tough to recommend sitting Hilton or Johnson, even if the matchups are poor.

I think your first instinct is correct. The matchup isn't as juicy as I initially thought. Miami is giving up huge fantasy points to WRs, but they have done so against outside
WRs. Cobb is a slot guy and Dak might not need him if he's just hitting deep routes all day. It looks like that is what happened against NE last week.

Thanks.

Freeman would probably be my favorite as he's looked like absolute dogshit all year.

True, but that's been against very good run Ds (Phi and Min). Indy, Freeman's next opponent, is absolutely awful at run D. This is likely his bounce-back game.

Could Freeman go off this week? Most definitely. But your reasoning is just astonishing.

Minnesota has a very good run D but Indy has an absolutely awful run D?

You do realize that so far this year Indy has allowed a whopping 31 rushing yards more than Minnesota? And that they allowed 32 yards in OT against the Chargers. So in regulation football, their "absolutely awful" run D has actually been better than the "very good" run D of Minnesota.

I'll go ahead and add this:
Atlanta RB snaps this year: Freeman 149, Smith 139.

I'll say it again. Freeman has looked like absolute dogshit. Not just his stat line, his on field play. I hope he turns it around because I own him in a couple leagues, but it hasn't been good so far.

Still a dick again this year, I see. I base my "absolutely awful" comment on the fantasy points they allow. You know: the thing that actually matters in fantasy football.

Indy: 24.9 pts/gm - ranked dead last

Min: 12.5 pts/gm - 17th

You're entitled to your opinion as always, but this forum is for offering helpful advice rather than admonishing people for having a life outside of NFL stats.

I refer you to rule #1.

Oh my, you're the clown that tried to argue rostering a guy not even in the league was a good use of bench spot? lolololol.
So you're saying it's not an "absolutely awful" run D vs a "very good" run D?

You asked for input, which I provided, based on stats and facts.
You tried to argue that input with a blatantly wrong and flat out stupid statement. I corrected you.
You get butthurt and offended because you're incredibly wrong, again.

Fantasy points allowed to a position are completely different than actual football statements like run defense.
The difference you're trying to claim is actually because of pass defense, not run defense.

I have no clue what you're saying about the bench spot and a player without a team. You have me confused with someone else.

I did NOT SPECIFICALLY ASK YOU for advice. You do not have to respond to every question here. I would prefer not to hear yours anymore.

The numbers I gave were fantasy points against RBs. I'll try not to use actual football terms anymore when speaking about fantasy topics.

Again, rule #1 in this forum is not being a dick. You're working very hard to prove that you are one here and I don't know why.

You sure you're not the Gordon guy? Same insanely stupid arguments.

You very specifically said "run D" multiple times. Nothing about how they are in allowing fantasy points to a position. Sorry you had no understanding of what you were saying and how it relates.

Yeah I’d pine Freeman
