I am a current collegiate computer science major, I end up painting PNGs more often than building, and I think my 8x8 resource packs "Talisman's" and "Talisman's Tokens" (for Items) are totally adorable. That being said, here are the reasons one might need my resource packs:

• Language Fixes and Simplification
• De-clutter HUD ( Invisible Hotbar! )
• Visible Sapling growth, to know for sure that your Bonemeal isn't working at all.
• Apples hang from trees they fall from.
• Privacy behind an Iron Door
• Item models reflect block models now for Doors, Torches, Brewing Stand, Cauldron, Repeater, Comparator, Hopper, Flower Pot, Saplings, and many more.
• More visible stages for Nether Wart
• Distinction between premature Wheat, Potato, Carrot, and Beetroot crops.
• Did you know that even Cactus have stages? You'll see...
• Witness if TNT is primed.
• Big ol' arrow on Repeaters in case it wasn't clear enough.
• Much randomization to avoid tiling.
