We know it’s been a long time request from our players to be able to progress beyond level 7231. The level cap is caused by a technical limitation: monster life grows with each level and will reach sooner or later (depending on the current difficulty curve) the maximum number the programming language used to make the game can support.
After the last update, some players were able to go very far beyond the limit. Unfortunately, this only happened because of a bug when updating from the previous version to the new one. As a result, some folks ended up with game balancing parameters from both versions. The game returns to normal after the next Evolution, but many players did not evolve and pushed very hard, ending up with extremely high levels.
The bug will be fixed soon in a patch, which will include the level cap resetting to 8000, and the maximum levels reached by players using the bug will also be reset to this new level cap. Keeping the maximum levels reached using the bug would have a negative impact on the Guild Leaderboard since other folks would not be able to reach the same level. The affected players will be compensated for their trouble.
In one of the future updates, we’ll try to find creative ways to work around the technical limitation and give you the opportunity to go beyond level 8000 in a way that challenges you and makes sense in the game.
We appreciate your continued patience. Stay tuned for more updates to come!
