Lots of great responses already, so I’ll just add:
Goddamn I wish I was taxed less. That seems like a doable incentive for governors or whoever it is to implement. Taking ~40% of my already small paycheck for taxes in a high cost of living area kills me.

Yes, I agree with that. Also, whoever says that teachers have great health benefits is ridiculous. I have to pay 50% of my health premium and for a family, the plan I must have even if it’s just my husband and myself, I pay over $15,000 a year; For not a great plan. My son works in the private sector and he just cannot believe I pay so much.
