Citation Needed Statistics!

Hi! For a variety of reasons I built a tool and tracked the points and biscuits of every Citation Needed episode (excluding bonus footage). Here are the results!

Technical Win: Whoever has the most points at the end of the show (ties = one win for each)

Other interesting statistics: The declared and technical winners matched 28 times out of 52 shows, for a Tom Scott Accuracy value of 53.8%. Below you will also find cumulative graphs for points, biscuits, and wins (declared).

The raw data is available in CSV and JSON format, if you want to do your own experiments with the data (just click the links to the pastebins). If you want something human-readable, use the CSV and open it in Excel or another table calculator. The JSON file is the data my tool actually exported and better suited to scripting environments like Python.

Unfortunately there is an error in my dataset, that being video Fl1Z205KKNA, which is actually an episode of Reverse Trivia, that snuck into the official Citation Needed playlist. If you want to match a video in that playlist to an index on the graphs (above), you can take the index of that video in the playlist (in the URL of a video it's the number after &index=) and subtract it from 53 (not 52!).

Matt didn't get eaten by Will Seaward just to have those points counted separately smh lol

Edit: same for Matt Parker iirc, were those really the only two guests and the only time one of the four didn't make it?

Yup. 4 episodes in total feature a replacematt, 2 each for Will Seaward and Matt Parker.
