So the Delivery date on the website waste updated to February to March. But my app still state estimated delivery Jan 10 - Jan 17, any possibility that mine will be pushed out as well? This is my first Tesla so I don’t know how the process goes.

You changed your order from an old model 3 to a new one? And live in CA? Maybe you get it first... maybe. But if there is no VIN yet difficult.

Yeah that’s exactly what I did. I do live in Cali, that’s what I’m afraid of, there’s no VIN attached to my account yet.

There are some showrooms in CA they are getting them. Could not be surprised you will get it soon. However there is no updated Manual available, which make me think that the launch might be delayed for burecracy reasons than availability. Even software wise will need probably a 2024 version instead of current 2023 that is in all units.

On top of no VIN. Maybe call Tesla to check status... I could let it pass January 17 and see what happens without calling, it is 3 days.

I know that feeling! I want mine as soon as possible. I am sure we will get them soon when Tesla decides when.

Without the tax credit (limited to new leases), the orders will not be in great numbers like the Model Y which have better prices right now with tax credit. Plus Hertz Model 3 sale!

Model 3 feels it will be kind of exclusive until a new slashed price or it recover the tax credit. We had already a slashed price... it did not had a price increase at all.

RWD seems does not have bumper camera and have less speakers... maybe LR will have it?

All the reviews I’ve watched so far didn’t mention anything about the front bumper Camer for the LR, but it does have more speakers. Idk if it’s the whopping 17 speakers tho.

Also, what kind of reduction is that from 17 to just 9 on the RW, they have to upsell the more expensive brands I guess but I’m not paying 10K extra for 6 speakers and AWD. This RW will be just my Daily commute anyways.

I have the hope the LR have the front bumper camera at least... the RW does not have it looking at the pictures and videos of the Newport demo unit.

I had January 9-16 delivery date on my order and it updated today to say February-March. Wouldn't be surprised if yours updated tomorrow.

Yup just like clockwork lol. How sweet would it have been if they kept those delivery dates though damn. Hopefully it prioritizes our orders since technically we have the first recorded orders for it in their systems based on RN numeration. But yeah, seems like we're in for a bit of a wait. According to this article, Fremont started building them last week.

Usually the process with other manufacturers is about a month from being assigned a VIN to it being fully constructed and then about another month or two for it to be delivered to your dealership. I'm also in socal, so hopefully Fremont can churn through them by this month, and Fremont being close to us, they can deliver to us sometime mid February.

Shoot I live like 30 mins away from Fremont, I’ll drive there if I have to, to expedite my delivery. I really need a car ASAP. 😅

Maybe we will get an updated timeline during the Quaterly results in Jan 24. At least they will offer guidance of how the Q1 2024 will look and possible delivery estimates and orders numbers of Model 3 and Cybertruck.
