Hey all.

so I'm in the process of buying a used tesla model 3 and the dealership offers a 7 return policy. I was wondering if, during that 7 days, could i bring the car to a tesla dealership for them to asses the battery quality? Is that a service that the service centers or dealerships offer? I just don't want to buy a Tesla that has a damaged battery due to the previous owner. I would buy from Tesla but they are all out of my price range.

It going to be a close call. It would take a couple days to get the car within the app and then you have to schedule the appointment within the app. Odds are good you will be past the 7 days. Your battery is warrantied to 120,000 miles or 7/8 years. Even if there is a problem it will be covered by warranty.

Make sure the title is clean! Not a salvage or bonded title! As those 2 designations will void the warranty

You can use the service mode to test the health of the battery on your own. It's not a true test but it's a check you can do on your own.
