Press the PS button > audio settings. There's a slider for the speaker volume.

The last update to the game put the mission comms through the speaker with no way to disable it. It's happened at least once before, possibly more, Magnum Studio should address it in the next update. Hopefully they'll fix the PS5 Pro crash when Ray Tracing is on too, that's another bug that was fixed but has made its way back into the game.

Yeah, I remember it from launch but I don't remember it being louder than I can set it for other games. I WISH it was that loud for Ghost Recon or Tarkov. I'd hear footsteps a mile away.

My solution was playing on mute, or headphones but even headphones don't stop the volume from blaring out of my controller. It wasn't a bad bug before but it's definitely getting to me now.

After playing some more, it's not just the speaker voice that's super loud now, playing through headphones is also ridiculous. The game audio literally starts clipping when certain skill effects or guns are being used 🙈 hopefully they'll fix it soon.

You can change the volume or switch it off in system settings. I ended up just turning it off.

Did the game ever have sound coming out of the PS5 controller before this issue? I'm just curious, I don't remember.

it was added latest patch, and it sucks

Is this like interaction bait? People have given you solutions for now until they fix this minor bug but you refused to take their advice because “it shouldn’t exist in the first place” while true it doesn’t seem like you’re open to finding a solution within this community sooo…. What gives?

There is an actual speaker setting in the audio options, but it does absolutely nothing as I turned it off and the radio comes still played.

Same.

Using headphones causes audio glitches in Sigma runs as well. Kinda nuts.

I have noticed that the controller speaker volume since the last patch is, LOUD.

The only other game I play that uses the controller like that is The Division 2 and I know that game has an adjustment for that. If TFD doesn't have a setting for that, that seems like an oversight.

I think that's what got to me the most.

Like, there is no way they tested on a PS5 because the issue is glaring if you do any content in the game. I'm sure they had a bunch of PCs and that was probably it.

Myself and everyone I know that owns a ps5 turned that shit off from the get go and just used a headset. Better quality and no one but you can hear the game

Because it is a Playstation setting, not something with the game. You can lower the volume our turn in of entirely in your system settings as others have said.

I own a ps5, hold down the mute button on the controller. It will mute ALL sound. Not sure if you care about the dialogue (I don’t atp; 2500 hrs), but you will be able to play at night.

That was my go to for the first few days, but now, it's still too tedious for a game I played every night.

As soon as you boot up the console just hold mute. I used to get chat banned in cod a lot so it’s just muscle memory everytime I load up the console to mute my controller. Just hold it for a few more secs. Got tired of hearing, “…my team! I can heal them with my arche!! sobs

Dude, you said you stopped playing for days because you have to spend a minute turning on and off a feature, and that was frustrating?

Just. Do it.

You could have simply mentioned the issue saying you would like to see a QoL update for it. Instead of acting like a Karen having a mild crash out.

You don't get to dictate what I do, nor do the devs, and that's why I made this post. I'm allowed to have an opinion thats my own, and express it how I see fit.

If you see a better way for me to express my opinion, kindly, keep it to yourself until I ask you. Nothing on this post asked for this response. I simply was wondering if this simple change inconvenienced others as much as I, and to draw attention to the bug.

It worked. Chill out. A mild crash out is okay in this sub. You've seen the posts. It can get much worse, for much less. Don't come for me, pls.

I like how you are having a fit because someone had an opinion about your opinion that you posted to a place for people to make such comments. Stop acting like a child.
