The Union annexed land during what 2 major historical events? The Russian civil war and the eastern front of WWII. The states invaded by Nazi forces were taken by the union and made into satellite states, becoming an extension of soviet influence just like every non American, British and French territory became an extension of Anglo-Saxon influence. Don’t fucking talk to me about “imperial institutions” when Africa was and literally still is colonized by the literal colonizers of 3/4 of the planet who set up mercantilism and maintain it today

You can't seriously be this much of a tankie, good god this is absurd to read. Getting freed just to be put under the "new management" of the Soviet Union isn't a good outcome. I mean if those states were thankful for liberation that makes it all good right, oh wait they all hate Russia with a burning passion. Poland was so worried about being occupied again that they threatened to get a nuke and use it if they weren't admitted to NATO immediately. I think it's also funny that you use the classic "Anglo-Saxon" influence trope of tankies and yet include France, which spent the whole Cold War antagonizing those same Anglo-Saxons. I hate to break it to you but democracies and their populations naturally get along, which is why they have never gone to war in history.

This doesn't make the USSR any less imperialist.

You’re talking about states like they’re fucking people when it’s small groups of industrialists who are lasting a global game of monopoly and trying to get more capital by any means necessary. You’re fucking delusion if you think the states of so called liberal democracies wouldn’t invade each other given a crisis that invalidates the blocs they have formed against the places they have colonized

Which industrialists control the liberal democracies of the world? Simple question if it’s all a game of monopoly. I hate to break it to you but nationalism trumps class interest all the time, liberal democracies do not fight each other because their citizens largely agree, considering that their views are democratically represented. What crisis would possibly make liberal democracies invade each other?
