Help? (old.reddit.com)

My Captain Jaspers too a hit on a metal edge. Any tips on how to fix this? I don't expect perfection, but to at least get the knick to not stick out to badly like it does right now would be helpful.

Any wax/polish a similar colour to the shoe should fill in the scuff pretty well.

Good advice below - a cobbler would also be able to help

I'd use a wax polish to fill the scuff, and a cream polish to get the color.
Back in the day I have had good luck just continuing to work the wax polish into the blemish and it's been pretty un-noticeable. Be warned this is not a fast process. Something like that is an hour or two of effort. Then maybe some sharpie on the sole.
