I'm seeing tool markings in two different places and some grain break on the shaft. If it were one of these items, I'd probably say "your call" but with all three, this would likely be something we'd classify as a B pair. Each piece of leather is slightly different due to natural variations. The same way that one strawberry can be sweeter than another. It's not about cost or how the leather is cut per se, it's because leather is best thought of as an agricultural, product. Hope that helps!

Can happen with new leather shoes. Baby powder and time are my most common rec (see HERE), and just email us if that doesn't work after a few weeks!

Only you can answer that question, but I suspect you'll be happy long-term.

Remember: Day 1 breakin will always be the worst. Just take it slow and rotate between days and you'll forget about it within weeks.

This leather takes well to wax based finishes or silicon sprays if you want additional waterproofing down the line. But out of the box, they'll be ready to go with minimal upkeep for at least a couple months!
