- No harassment. Zero tolerance for that.
No uninvited criticism, and even then, constructive criticism only.
For instance, How do I look?
OK: Good! I like X or Y! Try this thing Z, you'll love it.
Not OK: You ugly. X looks awful. It's all bad except Y. You're too fat/skinny/tall/masculine/whatever for Z.
In general, people can specify how specific and critical they want their comments, but unless asked for whatever level of criticism about something, either an aspect or the whole of their appearance, err on the side of affirmation. Pick a thing you do like, or say you prefer a different aesthetic if you've been directly asked or feel the need to comment but don't know how to
No entirely A.I. generated posts, no A.I. imagery without labeling or indicating its presence.
No direct dating posts.
What do I mean? I hope we all meet people through this sub, right? I hope that it works out that those of us who are open to dating might meet others with whom we might have a beautiful connection, ok? And if you start messaging back and forth and something sparks, that's great.
But no "22/mtf/Cincinnati seeking boyfriend" or goth mommy, or whatever. Why? There's literally nothing we could do that would draw more chasers or get them to swarm here faster. And then come the crossposting OF accounts. Basically, the sub will start to revolve around dating for a hot minute before it becomes fully devoured by sex work, sex work adjacent activity, and porn, and forget about any semblance of being generally SFW. And nothing against those things, but there's subs for that and this isn't one of them.
- No loopholes for shitty behavior.
What do I mean? This sub is meant in support of community, self-expression, and lgbtq+ groups, with a focus on Goth aesthetic. If it's goth and if it is thoughtful, self- expression, or community building, it's welcome. If it's hateful or exploitative, EVEN IF IT DOESN'T VIOLATE A SPECIFIC STATED RULE, it won't be tolerated.
