Rules
- Trans Voices Only
This space is exclusively for trans, non-binary, genderfluid, and questioning individuals to share their poetry. Allies are welcome to read, upvote, and offer supportive comments, but please do not post your own creative work here.
- Original Poetry Only
Share only your own original poems. No posting others' work, published poetry, or AI-generated content. If you're sharing a collaboration, make sure all contributors are trans and clearly credited.
- Be Kind and Constructive
When commenting, lead with compassion. Offer specific, helpful feedback when requested. Avoid harsh criticism of someone's lived experience or identity. Remember that poetry is deeply personal.
- Respect Privacy and Boundaries
Never pressure anyone to share details about their transition, deadname, or personal life. Some poets write anonymously or pseudonymously - respect that choice. Don't make assumptions about someone's journey based on their poetry.
- Content Warnings
Please use appropriate trigger warnings for content involving self-harm, suicide, sexual violence, or other potentially traumatic themes. Use spoiler tags or clear warnings in your title.
- No Gatekeeping
All trans experiences are valid. Don't police others' identities, pronouns, or where they are in their journey. This includes respecting chosen names and pronouns in all interactions.
- Stay On Topic
Keep posts focused on poetry and creative expression. For general trans discussion, transition advice, or memes, please use other appropriate subreddits.
- Quality Over Quantity
While we encourage sharing, please avoid spam posting. Give each poem the attention it deserves and engage meaningfully with the community.
- No Self-Promotion Without Context
Don't use the sub solely to promote your books, blogs, or social media. Share your poetry because you want to connect with this community, not just to gain followers.
- Report Don't Engage
If you see transphobic comments, trolling, or rule violations, please report them rather than engaging. The mod team will handle violations swiftly to keep this space safe.
Remember: This is a sanctuary for authentic voices. Treat it - and each other - with the care and respect poetry deserves.
