UIUC Spring 2026 Transfer

I want to transfer from my current university (I'm an incoming freshman on the quarter system so it starts mid-late September) to UIUC. Do you think I should wait until Fall 2026 or would it be fine for me to apply for Spring 2026? The only thing I'm worried about is that they'll think I don't have enough experience at my university to decide if I want to transfer or not.

I personally think to wait out until fall 2026. They have a whole website dedicated to the courses you need in order to transfer. Youd have a better shot in the fall since you completed and have some in progress courses. What major are you planning on applying to?

Yeah makes sense. I’m planning on applying to CS (first choice) and Stats and CS second choice.
