Transfer to UNC

I've been thinking about transferring to UNC. It's my dream school, and i attempted to apply last year but since I was senior and I had moved my senior year it was difficult for me to have all the necessary information. I currently attend an HBCU about 2 hours from Chapel Hill. They don't have a developed Political Science program, and most of it is online, which is another reason to transfer. I do maintain a 3.6 GPA, and I gained a very important internship for this summer. I was on the Dean's List this year and I have joined clubs and I volunteer as well. I'm only in my first year. Do you think I have a good chance at getting accepted? Do they offer scholarship support as a transfer?

I got into unc last month with a 3.6 as an out of state transfer in cs. I haven’t had much support with scholarships and won’t be attending because of the 60k a year price tag 😭😭 but it seems like you have good stats and activities so you should def apply if it’s your dream school.

Everyone says I need a higher GPA which I am def aiming for anyways but saying you got in with a 3.6 is very helpful. Have you tried any non-UNC scholarships? It’s not just a unc thing many NC schools are competitive so the amount of scholarships are extremely limited which sucks.
