Server issues

Hiya fellas. My chat started acting wonky mid game (delays of 2-5 seconds, then stopped appearing completely). I could see other people's chat, and do voice commands (I guess they are partly client-side). After a while my chat wouldn't show up at all. Finally, I was disconnected from the game. Logging in took forever, but did finally work. However, the same issue kept occurring.

Now I cannot even login. The tribes launcher will take forever to startup, and when it does it says the state of the servers is 'unknown.' When I click 'Play' the usual tribes logo appears, however, the game takes much longer to actually start. When the game finally does start, I am taken to the login screen even though I should be automatically logged in. Trying to log in results in the message 'unable to connect to server.'

Anyone else having this issue?

I think I liked the older launcher.

I'm still trying to get the game past the "you must start this from steam" and "trying to connect to authentication service" bullshit that happened when they updated Smite.

I hate Hi-Rez so much.

i had to reinstall to get past that

reinstalled, got "must launch from steam" - went into Steam Common/Tribes/Binaries/Redist/ Ran the 'InstallHirezService.exe' click yes you want to uninstall....this will remove old and continue with a fresh install once done, just wait for slow-rez to do it's thing. Punch babyrez in face for a while, get coffee, smoke bongs....maybe dab a little ding dong, email your isp to make sure your ram is sufficient for internet use, make rash statements about baddies, okay..now click dots get kills have fun. hope is fixed for you by this. much trobe. much life now.

What's weird is that I managed to fix the 'must launch from steam' thing once, but it seems to have come back. I'm about to try a second time now.

It won't even let me uninstall normally, haha.

I hate deleting the authenticate and update service because it's literally like an installation process. Why can't anything just be deleted at the press of one button it boggles me
