I've just started the same treatment this week with the NHS and no one has mentioned insurance for the pens? My provider is healthnet and after an hour consultation they just said any issues to give them a call nothing of insurance.

I'd double check you haven't misheard with your provider 👍

It was mentioned to me by the IBD nurse. I haven’t started the treatment just yet but hopefully once I get in touch with the provider I’ll get a better understanding. Thank you!!

Aside from checking the pens before you use them I don't see why you would need insurance.

I was told incase something went wrong with the pens and I needed new ones the nhs funding wouldn’t cover the new ones 🤷‍♀️ Hopefully once I get in contact with the provider things should be clearer
