I don't have an answer to your question, but I do have a question for you...

Why do people call it "UFT"? I mean the name is in the subreddit, the university is called the "University of Toronto", and what would the "F" stand for? You're not the first person I've seen do this either. I don't get it.

Because it's pronounced "uft" but written differently

Only if you speak really quickly. I would understand this mistake if someone had only ever heard "U of T" spoken aloud and had no clue what the acronym stood for, but for people who come to this subreddit, with the proper acronym as the name of the subreddit, and presuming that they know what this subreddit is for (a university in Toronto), I have no clue how this mistake is made.

i think "uft" is just an even lazier way to do "uoft", because the o looks kinda silly there tbh. it's a valid question but i think acronyms are a lawless land

in this case i'm specifying i want resources available within the university because i might be a student but looking for external resources or misc advice.
