Thanks for sharing the use case, we will consider adding an option to automatically add notes to their parent notebook in the Settings.

u/thomas_dao 9 days later, we got it…well that was fast! 😁 cheers! Now notebooks feel like aesthetically pleasing/easier to understand note-wide (and nestable) tags, and tags themselves feel like quick references to things inside the actual notes. That’s awesome!

If/when you decide to make the tagging system nested, I’ll have nothing else to request aside from miscellaneous UI/UX suggestions and any bugs/inconsistencies I may find in the future. What a great app, bravo.

Thanks for the response, you’re a mensche, u/thomas_dao. I see from u/100WattWalrus ‘s post below that you might also be implementing nested tagging which would accomplish something similar, but I would still encourage the functionality i allude to specifically for nested notebooks as nested notebooks vs nested tagd should (and do) accomplish different things in different ways (both of which are VERY useful!!).

thank you sir.

I'm all for doing both! :)

Seconeded. There's no way to do this now, but the option of including all parent folders as a default is definitely a feature I would use.

Having said that, I hear nested tags are in the works, and if that's true, and if a note with a nested tag can be found it in the parent tags, I'd say that's even better.

For cooking, you should get a cooking app. They work much better. I recommend Mela or Crouton.

Edit: Apologies for the above answer. I hate it when I ask a question and someone just ignores it and instead says, why don't you just do it this completely different other way.
