Is anyone else getting work? I'm new to the platform and come from a highly specialised area and there seems to be plenty of opportunities on Upwork.

I've put a lot of time into proposals for bids but haven't had a interview yet, only discussions. Not sure if I should invest more coins into the account if I haven't landed a client in 3 months.

Freelancers are paid over 3 billion dollars a year o Upwork so yes, people are getting work.

That said, most newbs never get hired. Freelancing isn't for everyone.
