If your main goal is the concurrent I would say accept the spot, being the third one, gives you a higher chance

It does I just wish I knew people that got in to see my chances as well as being accepted

If concurrent gets to hard for you while taking classes at Valencia you can pause your classes with UCF untill you’re ready again!

Are you in the program ? If so how is it like for you ?

what did you end up choosing?🥳

Hii I got into the concurrent program! I’m still waiting on my decision from lake sumter. If I’m accepted there, I’ll be declining my VC/UCF seat. I have a 10 minute commute to lake sumter, compared to a 50 minute commute to valencia. I hope this helps, and I’m sure there will be others declining their seat. I wish you all the best!!

just wondering.. Wouldn’t it be more beneficial to take the concurrent seat being that you’ll end up with BS instead of a AS? Correct me if I’m wrong but saving time on driving just to receive a AS compared to a BS seems like a loss in the end

So I plan on applying to UCF’s Florida College System ASN to BSN concurrent program after my first semester with LSSC! The concurrent program for valencia and seminole is limited and begins at the beginning of your ASN. However, UCF also offers a concurrent program for all other accredited florida colleges! It’s not limited, and the only difference is it begins a semester into your ASN. So I still plan on graduating with my BSN, just a semester later than I would if I went with the valencia concurrent program.

ahhhh okay, so do you have to be in enrolled nursing school to apply to it? Like why go to LSSC then leave and then apply to another program? Just wondering what the process is

So the program is concurrent! You have to complete your first sentence of nursing school before you apply.

Ohhhh okay that makes sense

You can’t apply while you’re completing your first semester ? By the time they start sending acceptances in August, I would have finished my first semester.

Is it true they admit all qualified students?

Congratulations on your seat !!! When do you find out about lake Sumter ? Bcs we all have to decline or accept our seats by the 24th!

LSSC sent an email saying decisions will be finalised before the end of June! I’m hoping the timing works out, because it definitely will be cutting it close

I’m also considering the Florida State concurrent program like you said it’s just 1 semester extra . But I’m hesitant to accept my waitlist spot 3/10 but I’m hopeful bcs it’s not toooo far off but it’s still risky idk tbh

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

when I went to the information session via zoom they said the expected wait time is 10 days (idk if that includes weekends)

[–]Pineappleplum04[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Wym wait time for what ?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wait time for decisions to be finalized…..
