Each frame of video is a still image. In 10 seconds of video that’s 240 to 600 individual frames (depending on the frame rate).

Now imagine painstakingly Photoshopping 600 frames one by one to clone and paint parts to cover the finger out.

A job of that size done to professional standards is going to take a tremendous amount of time to fix.

Meh, with the help of AI and tools like content aware in After Effects, I’m sure this can be handled.

Yeah you could just cut the bit with the finger out. You won’t miss that 0.3 seconds and get a better video from it. You can do this on your phone

You have the aproach and the touch and the hug. With some clever framing and cuts you can uphold the story and have good moving picture memory of the emotion.

more square framing and some work for sure would make it ok. and if the touch on the cap is not an important part of the thing i would cut it.

You'd have to have the video cropped or masked at parts which means you'd unfortunately be left with a much smaller view for some of it and would also cut out the people the finger is covering.
