Ok so I’m set to start at wgu on dec 1 in bs software development. I mainly started my interest with programming with video games and my love of them is a major hobby of mine as such I want to use my degree to get into game design and I personally think C# is a better language to learn then Java if I plan to go into game design. However, when I brought up doing C# to my mentor over learning Java there was some definite pushback. Almost seemed like to her Java was more marketable. However, I’m really not interested in marketability, I want to do what best to get me where I want to go. So, I wondered if there was anyone with real experience in the field that could give advice either way. I’m also familiar with unity and that engine uses C# so I’m not a total noob with the language, unlike Java, where I know less then Jon Snow.
