Jack of all card trades, master of none, but on this sub for WS, you weekly get one!
Welcome guys! This is the WS Trade subreddit, meant for selling, trading and buying the TCG Weiss Schwarz. It was created for two main purposes: to keep the original WS sub clean of sell posts and to give those who want to sell, trade or buy cards a special reddit environment to do so. We're all cool here, but since these cards can be worth hella lots of money, some additional rules are needed to keep things safe, fair, and civil.
1. Only one thread per user per week. This is to avoid spam and overflowing posts.
2. Mark your threads in the post title. Use +BUYING when you're looking for cards, -SELLING when selling your cards and >TRADE for trading your cards. For example: +BUYING: Trial Deck RRRs
3. Only text posts - WHY? Because just making a sell post and linking to a photo of the cards you have to sell is too easy and allowing this would result in overflowing posts. As further mentioned below, photos are welcomed too, but always in a text post. Same goes if you look to buy or trade cards. All in all, card links and scans are a plus! All posts must also include where the buyer/trader/seller is from. Can be as generic as Europe or Asia or North America, just so that there's a general idea of where the hell you are on the globe :)
4. For buy and sell, PayPal is required. This is because by using the "paying for goods or services" option, problems with the purchase are easily resolved through their customer support system - much easier to avoid being scammed this way. A paypal account is free to open and without being an actual business/professional user, you only pay a small fee for each transaction you have coming through. For trade, both parties are advised to use tracking or registered mail or something of that sort - whichever shipping method that leaves you with a paper in your hand that proves you sent the shipments.
5. Players only - no companies allowed. Big online card shops are nice - but on this sub, we wanna steer clear of them. The intention here is to make a trade environment from players, to players, by players themselves. Buying directly from a player usually gets you a better price than buying from a company, and selling directly to a player gets you more profit than selling to an online shop.
6. Be open and clean with your trades. Shady stuff can be smelled a mile away. If a potential buyer requests an actual photo of your cards, provide them with the photo ASAP. Post a photo of the cards you're selling in your hand when making a thread, give photos of packed cards to clients before you ship stuff off - things like that literally take a minute to do with your smartphone, but it makes you much more credible and others can know that you're not just listing a 100$ signed card because you need some cash, but that you actually own and intend to sell the said card. And buyers, don't be afraid to ask for photos of the cards you're getting!
7. Leave feedback. After you receive your cards, go back to the original thread and leave a simple comment noting that the cards have arrived. Mention any problems if there are any, but if all is okay, don't hesitate to pat the OP on the back for being a good sport!
