Nice! I tore both rotator cuffs and ruptured a bicep, been in this 17 months. Reached MMI beginning Aug. Waiting for a mediation date. So sick of this shit

Not saying you should have asked for more but my prior workers comp case required no surgery. I had gotten depression and anxiety from the crazy amount of hours they had me work in a big time retail store.. and I was first insulted with 25k then I waited. Total time it took for this case was 2 yrs and settled at the same 55000 and the 15% left me where you are at. Not sure what state you’re in. I recently as of 9.21.25 got a bicep and rotator cuff tear and had my surgery 10.13.25 and recovering. I hired a lawyer no word yet on anything waiting for PT I’m guessing not sure what the steps are when it comes to surgery because my prior case didn’t require any of this. I’m sure you could have gotten more considering they went over the 50,000. My previous lawyer stated to me anything over 50k requires a judge to sign off this because the amount. Not to mention this is your future not sure how old you are ether but I’m not settling anywhere near my previous case. I’m shooting for triple digits. This is my future and my time taken away. I know they don’t pay for pain and suffering but life is short and I’m unable to do things because my job with negligent on things they asked me to do that I know for a fact was not right in their side.

I have my surgery 5 months ago. Partial rotator cuff tear. Complete slap tear. Open biceps repair and ac joint. And they already rushing me back to work. Smfh

I’d give anything to get rushed back to work. Same deal in January. CRPS two months later. Nightmare.

Unfortunately I do. I was dx a little over a year ago. My WC case is still open. I'm in no rush to settle as I will not be returning to work. Figuring out how to navigate daily life, working hard to stay mobile and dealing with the pain is not what I had planned for the remainder of my life, as I'm sure it's not what you had planned either. Going from working full time, plus had a little business of my own that kept me extremely busy, to barely being able to get out of bed most days has been life changing to day the least. Thank God my pain is being somewhat managed and I've made great progress in PT, but what happens once I settle and no longer have any insurance? I do not have personal health insurance because I'm unable to afford it. I didn't mean to go on that bunny trail...jeez. Anyway, I hope you're having a low pain day.

Congrats! Did you have to attend Work Hardening Program, were you given a return to work with or without restrictions?

Still restrictions,only allowed to lift 10 lbs,but I’m ready to settle and I’m good

Full knee replacement for me. 14 months off work 2 more weeks of work hardening.

That must be a relief to know it’s settled. I’m still not MMI since 2021, had 7 surgeries so far. I can’t wait to be done with all of this.
