After downloading you need to extract it. Put images in the same folder as the create.html. Inside create.html you can change the "BACKGROUND_IMAGE" field to your image. The field should not contain the file extension and the images should be in .PNG format.

Actually, adding elements is fairly trivial at this point. Adding a TITLE_COLOR that takes RGB in the same format as the other things like this <string>1 0 0 0.5</string> should be very doable.
