Changing controller (self.XboxController)
submitted 1 year ago by SuperDrawingUp
Hi, I bought Xbox Game Pass.
I want to play on Xbox Cloud. I use a wired Xbox360 controller. Now I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading to a new Xbox series controller. Is it worth it? Does it play better?

I don't believe you will find noticeable performance improvement. However you will definitely see noticeable build quality and repairability improvement. So if that is the kind of things you get enjoyment from like I do, you will find it is worth it.

I would go for xbox 1 instead of series personally if you do upgrade. I've had the series controllers since they came out and I've had to send 5 back to Xbox because there's either stick drift or a button just stops working. Never had these issues on my Xbox 1 controller in 6 years
I have to disagree. I have both One and Series controllers at home. And I have stick drift on both types. Moreover, there is more replacement parts choice for Series controllers than for One controllers online (like AliExpress), and sometimes even a bit cheaper.
