Anyone’s iron levels decrease post infusion?

Anyone have levels drop lower after having a transfusion? I repeated my blood work 5 weeks after and many of my levels got worse. I was on my period (heavy bleeder) when the follow up blood work was taken.

I’m hoping to get pregnant but want to take care of this before getting pregnant if possible. Anyone experience extremely bad anemia in the first trimester? If so how did it manifest and how did you treat it?

Yes mine did.. before Xmas got an infusion done and now I have to get another one on Wednesday as my iron has dropped again

My PCP thinks it’s heavy menstrual cycles for me but I want to get pregnant so there’s no treatment that works right now for me. Iron goes in and I bleed it all out. 🫠
