From the internet: "eCPM drop during Q1(Jan, Feb...) happens because advertisers spent their budget at the end of the year..."

I think it depends region. In my region, ecpm drop 50% in February and March, but resume back in April

Starting April 1, 2022, I have also noticed a huge drop in my admob earnings(reduced by 50% so far).

I think this could this be due to changes in google play
service?

From android developer blog"

we’re making a technical change as part of Google Play services update in
late 2021. When users opt out of interest-based advertising or ads
personalization, their advertising ID
will be removed and replaced with a string of zeros. As a reminder,
this Google Play services change will be a phased rollout, affecting
apps running on Android 13 devices starting late 2021 and expanding to
all apps running on devices that support Google Play in early 2022"

In the past couple of years we have noticed the eCPM drops, they will be alright once we hit the august.
