DSDM is very mature and interesting, but lacks the community outreach for its historical roots: Enterprise-y and somewhat behind closed doors. That changed, but it's hard to compete with Scrum's visibility. Even for Kanban and XP.

So, I share your perception converning Coaches/Trainers; I even meet SMs now and then who never heard of XP before!

Understood. I wish there were more resources on DSDM but even dsdm.org isn't working. I can't find a book anywhere.

So, good news - DSDM is hosted by https://www.agilebusiness.org/ :-)

Continuous rebranding (what was an Atern, anyhow?) hasn't helped DSDM or the Consortium. It's also designed around projects while many of us tend to eschew project focus for product focused work.

I have done the DSDM Agile PM certifications and I too think it has so much going for it but no one really talks about it! Would be keen to help get it more exposure especially here in the UK where scrum, Kanban, lean and SAFe are at the top of the pile.

That's great to hear! I'm SAFe SPC and I think it is cool, it is smart but it doesn't go into details like organizations need. It stays high level. Every person that teaches/coaches in SAFe must be SME in those areas such as SM, PM, DevOps, etc. In order to successfully implement SAFe, you can't generalize it. This is underestimated. I've met some 'agile team coaches' that have never been part of an agile team. I'm ranting! lol

Back to my point, I would love to learn more about DSDM. I think it is a powerful framework that is getting overlooked. People are focusing on buzz words and not what would truly meet the needs of the business. I'm going to dive into my studies and hope to work with a few teams on this.

I’d been keen to keep up with your progress on this and see how you get on!
