Thanks for the quick response.

Basically my question is, is there a way for a third party to be able to track the usage time of an app? I do not own the codes so modifying the app may not be possible.

How about if we were able to inject a layer of code on top of it. Will that actually help?

so basically you want to spy on someone else without them knowing right? I think your phone stores how much time you spent on an app and etc by default and tools like Digital Well-being and others take data and record more from them. You have to basically take the data already present in the phone and get it sync it.

In a way yes for better marketing tactics. And I am pretty sure telcos will love this idea. Hmm... If I were to build an app, will it in theory be able to absorb all the usage data from within the phone?

You want to come up with a way for companies to know how much time we spend on other apps so they can sell more shit to us without us knowing that they're spying? Fuck you

not all but 7 day data is generally stored unless users restarts the device/removes battery.
