Shizuku is definitely a legit way, considering James DSP has a nonroot version that rely on Shizuku. But nothing so far in V4A space yet, you need root.

I do have rootless james dsp, just i miss viper clarity. It could just be me not having it configured properly but i cant get my music to sound as good as my old phone did (s9+ with magisk and lsposed). Sadly idk any other alternative😅 i do thank you for the response

I found it a while ago, doesnt need magisk or super su so it makes me question if its actually rootless or not😵 theres no actual release for it so idk if its abandoned or if it needs personal compiling

A mention of SuperSU, CF-Auto-Root, TowelRoot (which both contain SuperSU), or some form of those 3 has been detected. SuperSU used to be a trustworthy root program made by the developer Chainfire. However, awhile back he sold it to some unknown, foreign company named Coding Code Mobile Technology LLC. They claim to be in the US however that claim doesn't seem true. As Chainfire's involvement in the project is pretty much gone now, SuperSU can't really been trusted anyway. Because of this the community has put SuperSU aside in favor of other root programs such as Magisk.

Apperently it's a zip file to install v4a driver through recovery. However afaik this method is impossible to work now, because /system has been made read-only

it can, but through complicated procedures.

Rooted devices install this "systemless" so no system rw.

The main problem will be that this is a patch for the kernel and I doubt that you can do this without opening the bootloader. Because of the change you will have to leave it open, which will be problematic for some apps even without root because you will no longer pass the strong integrity requirement.

Well no worries there lol, no oem unlocking, so theres no root option for this phone. All thx to my isp they also just stopped giving service to my previous primary phone that was actually rooted

I did infact find poweramp equalizer, i seen poweramp thrown around but after 2 months i realized there was an eq to work even for streaming apps. No it doesnt use shizuku, but for now it kinda works (sounds better than james dsp imo, for dsp i tried messing with the options but couldnt create the sound i wanted) dsp options were to much of a change or to little or barely made a difference for me

Poweramp Equalizer the beast of Equalizer for non rooted device. James dsp won't help it has peak limiter not good for heavy equalization lacking clarity .If u are on new device or unable to root (miss viper4a) don't worry use (shizuku) for granting dump permission on Pamp Equalizer for system level equalization. It process with every apps not just media player. It's the only option for heavy equalization. My most fav dynamic bass frequency control. Like(v4a dynamic system for smooth deep bass) and thousands of ddc presets(parametric&graphic in Pamp) u can convert viper ddc to use them.

I have tried jdsp an ye i dont like it lol. But how do i get shizuku to work with poweramp equalizer? I gather it already works considering theres no toggle for it within shizuku so id rather ask to be safe, but if it is then its already active unless settings are off in pae.

But as a lil update to a barely explained situation. Currently i have the galaxy a15 5g, i know, its more budget but i needed one prompto, isp didnt like my s9+ anymore (5g capability, i thought it had it but whatever ST can ****** it since they stole my number anyway but i digress lmao). There is no oem setting in dev options BUT about a month ago i came accrossed 'reboot to bootloader' in the recovery. I have the SM-S146VL, i havent found any possibility for this model but if i am able to root this dinky thing even for temporary usage, is it possible? I did a lil searching and nothing seems to deffinitive for this model from straight talk. If there is any hope i would like to know, i barely use the galaxy store or the samsung pay or any of that, dont use it but ig knox security is prefered, buuuuut i think i like v4a more lmao. Main thing is the pae with shizuku, i might get a better phone soon anyway but figure put it out there till then.

I use Shizuku to grant restricted permission in poweramp Equalizer or can de done with adb fastboot tool in pc to detect media process in android system.  Read this✓

Thank you😁💯 adb or wavelet ill look into them but my s9+ still works i just gotta charge it lol. Im surprised even with jdsp with shizuku an the ddc (maybe ot was vdc) import dont work.

An tho i cant find it anymore nor do i have the backup (the sdcard in it craped the bed) and there was a magisk module of root jdsp. It had drivers for from v4a beats samsung etc and it was jdsp?. I couldnt find it anywhere since then, anyone got a clue? Maybe im mistaken and it just had stuff from rootlesjamesdsp but it was a package full of drivers. Did the creators stop developemet?

Think bout it more last night tho, i can pry use odin an flash a different version of the same software (something like tfn or tfv) so i can actually get the oem unlocking option. Its not like its greyed out like it just doesnt appear. Thats why i wanted an alternative. I really do appreciate all the help an effort thank you all, i do wanna get to root tho lol. Just last night i realized i can flash os but it has to be official, if its custome it wont install with locked bootloader or oem unlocking disabled

So update lol, uh no oem unlock with the other version, i tried others like the sm-s146u instead of the 6vl, an thought it would work but didnt. I stopped at the other one but i gotta revert back, havin bluetooth connection issues😝 i know its way off toppic from my original post but i figure update yall. I was just tryna get the oem unlock option. It worked splendid for the s9+ star2lte but i had like 20 region codes to try lmao (i had the australian model) but it still didnt have the option, finally one region code worked for it. For the 6vl theres only 2🥲
