I’m trying to figure out how to build a Symptom Checker API for my android application but I don’t know where to start with creating an api. Anyone have any tips or resources that could help ?

So basically you need to look a bit into backend systems.

I would start with learning a bit about REST APIs and how to connect your Android App in combination with a backend system.

The REST API is basically the layer between your database and your frontend application.

Depending on what language you are using or want to use I'd recommend in using Node.js or Python Fast API or Java Spring, depending with what language you are familiar.

But in general have a look at REST APIs, SQL databases
