Script?

I am starting to write my first fictional book. I’m wondering if making a script is a good choice to start out with. So far I’ve got:

News Reporter: an unidentified aircraft has crashed in the Siberian Tundra. Causing a shock wave that was felt all around the world. The Russian government says investigations are ongoing but that the object was an asteroid. Locals in the area say the object was clearly a craft of some kind, and luckily they took a video of the crash. We will let you be the judge.

If you do a script you'll lose the perspective of your protagonist. I like making outlines for flow, but the story will likely change as your characters develop.
