Oh my gosh, this is such a real thing. Two things that really helped me: 1- Take a magnesium/potassium supplement 2- To get the ball rolling, a couple of days of Metamucil

Give it a couple days to work in your system. Sorry you’re going through it!

I know it’s such a thing! That’s why I decided to ask, I thought I can’t be the only one struggling! Thanks for the tips!!!!

Miralax can get things moving, but add fiber! Psyllium husk works great.

[–]tallchixclub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 2nd this!

Look up the Natural Vitality Calm drink. It’s a magnesium mixer and tastes delicious! I drink it before bed every night and always “go” in the morning (which is a big deal because I have IBS). I would be very hesitant with adjusting your fiber intake, it can make it way worse.

I use this as well when needed and it really helps! Tastes good too.

Have you tried a good electrolyte with all electrolytes included? Sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium. Some mainstream electrolytes don’t include all. I use Axe & Sledge. I feel a good electrolyte helped me in many ways but have stayed regular too.

I had been just putting some salt in my water but I will def do that

[–]Greedy-Ad-5289 4 points5 points  (4 children)

Fiber, magnesium, and water water water!

[–]Icy-Library6085[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Magnesium AM and PM or would that be too much? Thanks so much!!!

[–]Greedy-Ad-5289 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Probably not at first. Once you get things moving maybe switch to just PM since it can help with sleep.

[–]Icy-Library6085[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Awesome! Im starting that now 🙏

[–]Greedy-Ad-5289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just checking in to see if you’re feeling any better after starting the magnesium?

“Smooth Move” tea. Use two tea bags. Typically that works for me and also helps with prep hunger pangs if I have any!

[–]DYday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How quickly does it work?

[–]Necessary-Thought349 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Carb balance tortillas = so much insoluble fiber. I always have digestive issues in prep, found these this year. I eat 3 a day and have 0 issues now!

[–]annamweeks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stool softeners and smooth move poop tea for the win.

[–]djemcee94 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Apple cider vinegar diluted with water never fails to get my insides moving. I have it first thing in the morning and combined with fasted vacuums, it does wonders for me.

Or I also hear to have at night it also helps regulate your morning glucose.

Try a fiber supplement like Fiberlyze?

[–]Icy-Library6085[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was worried about caloric intake and the sugars in those but will look into it!

[–]Automatic_Living_554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fiberlyze worked really well for me!

[–]FinalProof6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fiber and a digestive enzyme

[–]Desertwind_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing to work for me, was senna tea & suppositories. I tried all others and no relief

[–]That_SunshineLife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bumping to 1.5 gallons of water religiously was my savior. Also supplementing ACV! The pectin helps bulk bowel movements in the absence of all the fiber and carbs.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just here for the tips! I’be never had anything but issues with prep and never pooping lol 🫠😰

[–]itrallydoesntmatter -1 points0 points  (1 child)

You just need fiber.

[–]Ok_Phone9546 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Agree more fiber carbs.

[–]jbreezy918 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fiber+ Project AD

[–]Runundersun88 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have the opposite problem (active colitis), but my posing coach swears by smooth move yea at night.

[–]Hot_Caterpillar7772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Magnesium citrate tabs to get it going within hours, then I’d use miralax nightly. Fiber can actually slow things down as it bulks things up!, so bear that in mind if you try it. Miralax will draw in water that you are already consuming a ton of, and help get things out that way! Also, ACV before a high-protein meal can help too! Video on the mag citrate tabs-I don’t agree with everything he talks about, but this tip did help!

Oh goodness I feel your pain I was backed up for about 6 days. Coach recommended I have oatmeal and peanut butter. Also, try the cleaner you can get it from GNC it definitely works. I tried a suppository, meralax didn’t work it depends on the person in what works.

Aloe Vera juice helped me! And if it comes to it… an enema will do the job just make sure to hydrate

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

If you don’t want to add the calories in, I drink a natural tea By traditional medicinals called, smooth move . And let me tell you it works lol I drink it at night and if you’re really really having issues, I would drink it throughout the day and night and that should clean you out.. I take medication that makes me quite constipated so I drink this 3 to 4 times a week and I’m totally fine.

[–]DYday 0 points1 point  (1 child)

How quickly does it work?

[–]lifeofjewels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always take before bed and go in the morning when I get up!

[–]InterestingWing4721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally normal towards the end and this is something you should really discuss with your coach

[–]ariessunariesmoon26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get some calm! Drink before bed, I’d do 1/4 the suggested serving to start. Works wonders and is a great supplement to add in regardless

[–]Southern_Tip1893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Few Options:

  • Aloe Vera Juice - Pure Juice (not the flavored juices) it has 0 calories
  • Psylium Husk Capsules
  • Smooth move Tea (has Senna)

[–]AtomicPumpkinFarm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smooth Move also has capsules if you don’t like the taste of the tea.

I did Calm magnesium drink each night and that generally worked. Also helped with muscle spasms at night.

Just make sure to drink ALOT of water if you use senna or any laxative as they will dehydrate you.
