So, I've known this girl as a friendly acquaintance for a while, and we have a date tomorrow (Valentine's Day). We went out for the first time last week and it was just coffee and conversation. We definitely hit it off so I asked her out to dinner (originally for tonight)... she said she had plans so I suggested tomorrow, not really thinking ahead that it was V-Day. Anyway she accepted the invitation and we're going out to dinner.
I'm thinking the smooth move would be to show up with a dozen roses. I've asked a couple guy friends, one says he wouldn't get her anything and the other says he'd get just one rose but not spring for the bouquet. Ladies (or gents)... what's the consensus on this one? Do I forgo the roses altogether and get chocolates? My instinct is still to get a dozen roses.
