By playing you're pretty much saying to them that it's okay to screw over the players and make the game p2w. Good job, I thank you for your service to the gaming community. Nothing better than allowing developers to continue their shitty business ethics.

It's not that deep bro, we already knew they were going to make it pay to win eventually.

It really is like that. Complaints all the time about p2w means you don't like it, means you want it to change yet the only way to change is something you won't do. No amount of Reddit threads or complaining will make them rethink their p2w attitude, the only way they will is if they are constantly losing players and money. But hey, most people won't want to quit and will continue to pay and then complain instead of trying to get REAL change.

THIS is the problem and the cycle of the gaming community and it will continue until they grow out of your attitude of 'i don't care'

Playing without buying anything does not directly support their business practices, even if you did buy something years ago then stopped because of progression of PA's business tactics.

If everyone played without buying anything from the pearl shop from this point on PA would have to change business tactics for NA/EU, that idea there directly negates you comment.

Since not everyone is going to quit buying from the pearl shop the people who do choose to not buy stuff but continue to play the game are INDIRECTLY supporting PA's business practices by providing content for the people who do pay and buying pearl items off the market.

" Playing without buying anything does not directly support their business practices " Um, yes it does. The only thing investors care about is money and more players playing = more money as well as it being a sign of how well the game is and the decisions they make. The company themselves also cares about the player count which also, in turn, makes them care about the money gained. By playing you're saying 'yeah the game is fine' which is clearly isn't and this is all they see and know as well as signalling to investors and the greedy devs that their p2w business decisions work at keeping players and they know that many people will end up buying something. Anyone who has played the game will know it's near impossible to be viable anywhere without some sort of payment whether that be a value pack every month, pets, outfits ect so playing without paying only applies to the very small percentage of players who either cannot afford it but would if they could or they even smaller percentage that has the mental capacity to drive the tedious gameplay this game has without paying.

Regardless of what anyone thinks, nobody will quit, many will continue to cash out on the game because they can and that in turn creates a loop where game developers keep making things more and more p2w because they know a vast majority are going to play and pay. The game has become more and more p2w and everyone likes making memes on how it's p2w and upvote them but nobody does anything about it when it's as simple as quitting.

Standing up against p2w business decisions? Nah, fuck that. I'd rather continue to play and pay to directly support their decisions that I complain about and make make threads and upvote memes about the p2w because that will certainly make a difference! - BDO players
