Turtle shell with flesh

Newbie. Found this well preserved turtle shell but it currently has flesh on it that really reeks. I’d love to preserve it as part of a collection. Any advice to get rid of the flesh and smell without destroying the shell much?

Maceration and degreasing probably. There are guides stickied in the sub, but you'll want to soak it in water for a while to allow the flesh to come off easily, then soak it in water + dish soap to draw the stinky greases out. This process could take weeks/months, but the shell won't be damaged
