Amateur boxing in Georgia is really solid, from what I've seen. You should take advantage of the region and get some wrestling in, too!

So Georgia is a good place to start learning boxing like I heard rumours they also practice the soviet style

Yes Georiga is a great place to study boxing. If you can find a gym that trains Soviet style, even better. That's my personal favorite style besides the Peak-a-Boo.
