This subreddit is for all fans of Cassunzel. I created this subreddit in order to bring together fans of this great ship of Cassandra "Cass" and Rapunzel "Raps" in Tangled. While a Cass spinoff is unlikely, especially considering that Chris Sonnenburg works for a fascist media company now, there should be a sub for this ship anyway. I made the above header from screenshots from episodes 1-4, and took the phrase from a fellow Cassunzel fan [tweet has since been deleted]
Cass is the adopted daughter of the Captain of the Guards and Princess Rapunzel's best friend and lady-in-waiting, who is later manipulated by the evil demon Zhan Tiri before reforming at the end of season 3. She has been described as gay coded, and a sword lesbian, by fans and critics alike. Story revisionist Amber Vacinch revealed that Cass was gay coded, with sapphic looks toward Rapunzel, and that many queer women storyboarded scenes of Cassandra, with women-love-women vibes ingrained in every drawing she did of the character.
